Senior Outing To Helimission

The seniors’ trip organized by the Pentecostal Church Herisau, recently took us to Trogen where we visited Helimission headquarters. After a warm welcome, we were able to visit the office where the crew coordinates and organizes this far-reaching and important work.

Afterwards, Simon Tanner took us on an exciting journey through time, looking back from the founding of the organization in 1971 to the present day, with an overview of plans for expanding operations into Brazil and India. With impressive pictures and reports, Simon Tanner gave testimony about the great work God had done, which was marvelous to hear!

As a highlight, Simon took us to the hangar and showed us the helicopter. In addition to Simon's expert explanations, he also answered our participants’ specific questions. Meanwhile, his wife Brikena prepared a delicious snack and lovingly catered for our physical welfare.

Before we started on our way home, we were delighted to have a surprising reunion with the 97-year-old founding couple Ernst and Hedi Tanner. We enjoyed an unforgettable and enriching afternoon!

We would like to thank everyone involved again from the bottom of our hearts and can highly recommend this interesting experience to everyone.
