There is a large rainforest at the eastern end of the island of Madagascar. During our medical mission a while ago, we visited a few villages at the edge of the rain forest together with Sedera’s team. It was quite impressive to see these gigantic trees up close.
A team from France accompanied us on this mission. While Sedera and members of the French team took turns teaching, the medical team treated many patients. Deborah, the dentist, also had a lot to do. The weather was quite challenging. At times, it poured. It was nothing short of a miracle that we were able to carry out all of the planned flights. Fortunately, there were dry spells in between so that our wet clothes could dry again. I am very grateful that it didn’t rain in the evening and that we were able to show a movie in every village.
