Ernst Tanner's first expedition and mission trip took him through Africa in 1969 – from west to east – from Cameroon through the Congo and Uganda to Kenya. This little book was not written in his study, but on airplanes, in cars or buses on bumpy roads, in boats, in canoes, under mosquito nets by the light of a flashlight – in short, wherever Ernst Tanner experienced it.

 During this time, God deeply moved his heart. It was the birth of the vision to do everything possible to reach people in remote areas with the good news – people from all tribes, languages, and nations.

 He doesn't yet know exactly how, but the foundation for the helicopter mission is being laid.
