THE HELICOPTER

A helicopter is a very special aircraft. It can hover in the air, fly backward, and even move sideways. But how was the helicopter invented? Let‘s discover the exciting story!

In the 15th century, Leonardo da Vinci drew amazing sketches of flying machines resembling helicopters. Although his ideas were never realized, he was a great visionary.

It wasn‘t until the 20th century that people succeeded in building a real helicopter. Igor Sikorsky, a clever inventor, found a way to keep the helicopter stable in the air. In 1939, his first model flew successfully.

The idea of a helicopter was born, and since then, many intelligent minds worldwide have worked on improvements. They developed more powerful engines, better rotor blades, and secure control systems.

Today, helicopters come in various shapes and sizes. They are used in many important fields such as rescue missions, agriculture, firefighting, and for transporting people and goods. The history of the helicopter is thus an exciting journey from the idea of flying humans to the modern helicopters that make our world safer and more efficient.

Who knows, maybe one day you‘ll become a helicopter pilot yourself to conquer the skies!
