The Helimission Foundation is an international Christian relief organization that uses helicopters to bring medical aid and hope to people in remote areas. Since 1971, Helimission has been serving communities that are otherwise difficult to reach.

For our base in Madagascar, we are seeking an experienced and committed Base Manager. The position is available immediately or by mutual agreement.

 

Your Responsibilities

As Base Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational, financial, and spiritual leadership of the base. Your key responsibilities include:

• Leading and supervising pilots, mechanics, and local staff

• Managing the base budget, permits and liaising with the authorities

• Promoting a culture of trust, transparency, and teamwork

• Working in close cooperation with HQ

 

Your Profile

• Minimum age: 40

• Proven management experience, ideally within helicopter or aviation operations

• Strong identification with Christian values and mission work

• Business-level English (B2–C1)

• French language skills are an advantage

• High level of intercultural competence, strong decision-making ability and sense of responsibility
