Since the Covid-19 restrictions prevent us from holding open meetings, it is with a heavy heart that we have to postpone all our 50th anniversary celebrations until 2022. But as the saying goes, “We’ll take a rain check.” We look forward to 2022!

Denis used to fly fixed wing planes. Today this is no longer possible due to his age. He is now investing in people in remote areas so that they can be saved.
Vultures and goshawks are much larger in Africa than in Europe. They can reach a wingspan of 6.5 to 10 feet (2-3 m) and represent significant danger for aircraft. The engine of a passenger plane was blocked just after take-off by one of these birds that had been strolling about on the runway and was sucked into the turbines. The plane crashed.
Bad weather forced us to postpone our planned mission by a day, and I was only able to bring one team into the rainforest.
We have all been affected by Covid-19 for almost 2 years now. Thank God everyone at the base in Wamena are all still fine. Because of the very fast spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia, the Government imposed a lock down in all of Papua, so we couldn’t do a lot of flying.
