Heli Fleet

In 1971, Ernie and Hedi Tanner acquired the first helicopter, a Bell 47J. In order to buy this helicopter, they took out a mortgage on their home and obtained a loan from friends. Today there are nine helicopters in the Helimission fleet. All of them are debt free. Every base is supplied with tools and the aircraft. Helimission operates without a bank debt.

The entire work of Helimission is made possible by donations. The pilots/mechanics are supported by their own circle of friends.
