Base in Awassa

our base in Ethiopia

During the droughts of 1974, 1975 and 1985 we helped with SOS operations in Ethiopia.

In 1991 Ernie Tanner built the base in Arba Minch. However, in 1999 our crew had to leave the country due to withdrawal of operating permission.

In September 2005 we returned to Ethiopia, building a new base in Awassa. In December 2008 we received the operating permit for the newly imported helicopter.

At the beginning of the year 2009, we started with the first flights in Southern Ethiopia.
